The study of the Brewing module explores different methods of brewing coffee, from the V60 to the Chemex and Siphon, via the Clever and the French Press. This module also allows you to analyse and familiarise yourself with the different grind profiles, match the grind to the extraction method and scientifically measure the extraction of a coffee in order to track the optimal extraction profile.
It is an introduction for beginners to the alternative methods to espresso for extracting coffee: V60, Chemex, Syphon, Clever and French press.
This is a very practical module in which you will learn how to analyse your grinding profile, match ground coffee to the extraction method and scientifically measure the intensity of extraction.
You will gain the scientific knowledge to take it a step further, learn temperature management, control of acidity levels, the impact of water quality on extraction and flavour, learn how to control the extraction range and keep it within defined parameters.
The Foundation course lasts 1 day.
The Intermediate course lasts 2 days.
The Professional course lasts 3 days.
